Hazard Monitor Overview

Grain dust is extremely volatile and can easily explode with the proper ignition source in confined spaces. OSHA has mandated that grain elevators in Class II, Division 1 environments must have the 3 monitoring sub-systems for elevator safety. (Note: this same rule applies to the flour and sugar processing industries). Electro-Sensors Hazard Monitoring Systems are used to minimize the risk of such explosions by early detection of conveyor/elevator slowdown, hot bearing temperature, or belt misalignment – all of which can present an ignition source.

	Electro-Sentry 1 Single-leg or conveyor Hazard Monitoring System for monitoring shaft speed, bearing temperature, and belt alignment. All sensors have their value and alarm status displayed on the front panel.
	Electro-Sentry 16 A Hazard Monitoring System that contains at-a-glance Temperature monitoring with alarm identification for up to sixteen 4-20 mA analog Temperature or Contact Closure sensors.
	ION Remote I/O Sensor-input and relay-output modules with Modbus RTU network interface. 3 Models: Analog-In (12 inputs), Discrete I/O (6 inputs, 6 relay outputs) and Frequency/Discrete-In (12 inputs) All provide protected sensor power. All signal inputs are protected.
	ST420-LT / ST420-DI The ST420-LT and ST420-DI are 2-wire, loop-powered, 4-20 mA analog output shaft speed sensors in rugged stainless steel M18x1 housings with integral conduit attachments; FM Approved Dust Ignition-Proof for Class II Division I hazardous locations.
	TT420-LT TT420-LT models are FM approved Dust Ignition-proof and come in 3 probe/mounting options. All models have integral liquid-tight conduit fittings and are optimized for Class II hazard monitoring.
